Yamaha Tenere 700 – Rear Crash Bars

Finally, a rear crash-bar set that doesn’t ruin the looks of your bike! These follow the lines of the rear of the Tenere perfectly, don’t protrude out so much that they’re in the way, but at the same time offer great protection.

By using both the strong passenger foot-peg mounts, as well as the included specially-designed butterfly plate set-up that mounts on the bottom of the tail, a very strong and stable mounting solution is achieved. All of that for an added total weight of only 1.65kg!

Even though they are produced from several different steel components, using both CNC-cutting and CNC-bending, they are welded together perfectly so that each pair fits without fail. The black powder-coated finish applied after production, ensures that they’ll stay looking great and don’t rust.

The best however, is the fact that these are the first crashbars on the market that can be expanded to become a complete side luggage rack with our separate Side Luggage Plates*! Using the special mounting brackets, that attach the plates to the crash-bars, a rigid system is created that can both protect your bike from crashes, as well as carry your favorite luggage! And, in case you want to go on a short adventure and keep the bike light, you can simply remove the luggage plates and drive with the crashbars only!

Last but not least, these crash bars will fit with all other Panonian products that are designed to mount on the tail of your Tenere. No changing, adjusting or cutting of any kind. Interchangeable fitment of all our products, in every possible combination, that was the first goal of our design. With that, we have succeeded in creating a fully interchangeable mounting of the top luggage rack, rear crash bars, side luggage plates, tail tidy and auxiliary fuel tank!

This kit is delivered with two crashbars (one left, one right), the butterfly plate kit**, as well as all nuts, bolts and bushings needed to perform installation.

*The Side Luggage Plates are a separate product, and are not automatically included in your order of the Rear Crash Bars.

** Several of our products for the tail of the Tenere require our butterfly plate kit, but only one kit is needed per individual motorcycle. Since almost all orders are placed for a single motorcycle, we have decided to include only the minimum amount of butterfly plate kits necessary for installation of the products in your order. This way we can keep both the price of our products, as well as a waste of material at a minimum.
